2) Magnum Maid Agency
In the beginning: We actually had our own new maid contact in Indonesia (friend/cousin of our current maid) and we wanted to handle SGP side, and pay only limited fees for local agent help in Indonesia. Linda from Katong branch was very prompt and quickly provided us with a fair quotation for limited local Indonesia immigration processing support service. Pricing was very reasonable. I also asked for full service information and Linda shared the rates via pdf. I was surprised Linda did not hard sell full service. Instead, she focused on my requested limited service to support my own direct hire; she patiently responded to my queries as I had to check with her each time the new direct local maid changed her mind or asked for additional requirements.
In the end, it was quite difficult to manage the expectations of our new direct maid so I asked Linda to provide full service but for our direct hire maid. Linda spent a lot of time to understand what we had agreed and she also spoke with our direct hire maid. At all times, Linda was patient and professional. She did not push any profiles of her own maids (with highest loans) at me. She tried very hard to convince our direct hire. But in the end, I realised my direct hire maid was not suitable for my elderly parents.
So I requested new profiles from Linda. She sought to understand my family's needs in detail. She then did her checks and after a few days she provided two selected profiles with two video recorded interviews (she had interviewed them and asked them questions tailored to our needs). I was pleasantly surprised as she did not just forward a lot of profiles unlike other agents. We interviewed both candidates (with helpful and thorough Linda) and decided on one the next day. We settled payment and signed documents. Everyone at Katong branch was friendly including the gentleman owner. We had occasional questions and Linda still replied quickly. After a week+, new passport is ready.
